Couldn't decide where on the floor I wanted to be for this so went for lower bowl instead - Sect 9 Row C.

I got two tickets on the floor, right at center ice. I figure I will be back enough to enjoy the visuals and sound, but still close enough to see the band.

There will be even less visuals this year than last year;

They are not bringing ANY lasers on their 2009 North American dates to cut costs.
There will be only one inflatable, if any (last year there were none)
The mirror ball may or may not be used depending on ceiling height.
Only one projection screen rather than 3 from previous years. (even though last year only used one rectangular screen rather than any of the ring screens)

This is contrary to what is being advertised (last year's radio spots promised "even more lasers and inflatables", they were inaccurate)

Thats ok. Since I've never seen them, whatever they bring will be just fine and it should still be a good concert.

Here's what a "regular" setlist looks like...I'll scroll it down a little for those who don't want to see it :P

Breathe [Dark Side of the Moon]
Time [Dark Side of the Moon]
Shine On You Crazy Diamond [Wish You Were Here]
Welcome to the Machine [Wish You Were Here]
Pings on the Wing (Part One) [Animals]
Dogs [Animals]

Intermission

Astronomy Domine [The Piper at the Gates of Dawn]
Learning to Fly [Momentary Lapse of Reason]
High Hopes [The Division Bell]
Us and Them [Dark Side of the Moon]
Take It Back [The Division Bell]
"The Gunner's Dream" [The Final Cut]
The Happiest Days of Our Lives [The Wall]
Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2 [The Wall]
Wish You Were Here
One of These Days [Meddle]

Band Introductions

(A Wall suite)
Hey You
Is There Anybody Out There?
Nobody Home
Vera
Comfortably Numb

Encore

Run Like Hell

It's a good setlist for those who have never see it before. Me personnaly, having already seen them 4 times, it doesn't push me to see them again this time around. From I rad, the Pig and the Glitter Ball made appearances, and no mentions of laser.

By regular, I meant that the "main" part are essentially the same: Part of Dark Side, Part of WYWH, Part Animals, Mixup song, finish with part of The Wall. The songs differs tough. They played Sheep, or Pigs (Three Different One) sometimes, or play a longer "Dark Side",etc.

That press release is the generic one they use for the "World tour". Same line they used last year as well. Unfortunate as each year the show we get in Moncton seems to get smaller rather than bigger. They do not have any lasers with them in North America this year as they have to have a licensed laser operator at each show and they are not bringing one to reduce costs.

Go to Youtube or the Aussie Floyd fan site to see reviews of 2009 NA shows to see what is and isn't included in the North American dates. A bigger disappointment in my opinion is that background vocalist Emily Gervers is not with them on these dates.

Still a show worth seeing if it's your first time.

The real Pink Floyd didn't exist in 1987(in name only) imo..lol, i'm praying they play 'Gunners Dream" tonight.
