Just read that Billy Idol is set to announce a world tour with 2 Canadian dates so far in the west. The report says that a new CD is set to be released and other North American dates will be announced . I think a Billy Idol stop in Moncton is long overdue. His last album (devils playground) was recommended to me a few years back by staff at the local music store..and it was amazing. He delivered a hard hitting (rebel yell type) album, and every track was great. Most people will remember Billy Idol for his remake of Mony mony, which to me was the worse song he ever sang.
His official web site is "under construction" and says to stay tuned in the next few weeks.

| I would LOVE to see Idol, i'd go for sure! I still remember his performance on, i think it was MTV20 or something like that, of "rebel yell" a few years back, it was incredible.

| I believe Billy Idol has played the maritimes at least once..might have been back in the late 80's or early 90's...and I couldn't agree more with the "Mony Mony" song...it was played in bars that much( around here at least) that it became very annoying to hear it..I like all his tunes but when I hear "Mony Mony" on the radio..i turn the station very quick lol......and I'd love to see him come this way..I'd definitly go

| I would love to see Billy Idol live, just missed him a couple of years ago when I was traveling in London, ON. I won't hold my breath for a Halifax show but it would be awesome.

Great news coming out of the Billy Idol tour.
Billy will be opening for a few dates to support Def Leppard. A few Canadian dates that were recheduled for August by Def leppard due to illness will include Billy Idol instead of REO and Styx. The canadian dates include stops in Quebec city and Ottawa.
Hopefully this means he can squeeze a maritime date when he announces his solo dates.
August 9th in Quebec City is the closest venue so far!!!
