I just heard this and thought I'd come on here and post it immediately. I've been talking with a 3 individuals, each from different hotels around Moncton, and they informed me that a 3rd concert on the hill is being planned for the first weekend of September, September 5th to be exact. The rumoured headliners being Bruce Springsteen. Stay tuned.

Thought it deserved its own thread.

Yes, good idea since this looks like it might be the real deal. Just spoke with my contact at the Future Inns (manager) and they confirmed the rumour of the BOSS coming to Magnetic Hill!!! :D

Add to the fact that both Shane Porter and Ian Fowler were seen in Mavericks 2 nights ago, well you do the math!!

I just booked my room in Moncton and they too confirmed the rumour....she even went as far as saying the 2 night min- no refund - rumour was going back into effect next week....thats how confident they are......

Once again...as an avid Bruce fan - I totally believe the rumour...the dates just fit right in......once the Giants Stadium 5 night run is over...its all over for probably 3-4 years.......at least with the E Street Band in their current formation.

Wow.....I was so bummed to miss out on Boston in August.

Rooms booked now all I need is a confirmation....

This would quiet down Beatle talk for sure.

I'm not a Springsteen fan, but I'd buy a ticket if the weather proves to be nice on concert day.

My hero, my idol is coming to Moncton. Words cannot express what this means because I have never seen him. If this is a joke, I don't think I will ever recover.

All I can say is HOLY SHIT!!!!

That would just blow my mind. I'm little doubtful though because I thought the concert organizers for the Hill weren't going to go ahead with a third show this year. In the McCartney thread wasn't there talk of him (McCartney)wanting to perform at the Hill but the organizers turned it down

The story I was told from someone pretty connected was that McCartney's people called to say something like if you can't secure BON JOVI then we're ready to come over. If you're in negotiations with someone you can't just drop them like they're hot.

Which I believe is why he's in Halifax. The Promoter got wind of this and we all know they've been trying to get Sir Macca here for a few years now. It certainly makes it easier when the artist calls YOU! Which stands to reason why he's been so accessible. He's been cutting promos for Q104 and yesterday grants a full 20 minute interview to JC Douglas at Q104.

Ok. So I read this and was calling bull. So, I called my contact ( well emailed). Anyway, he's the one who gave me the Virgin fest and SIr Paul info and was right on the money. Acdc too. But eveyone knew that one. Anyway , his response was simply....."book it danno". I'm taking that as a yes. I'm shocked.

Me too because all along I thought the rumour was Metallica. But after speaking with several sources today it looks like it just might happen.

I certainly hope so!! Metallica would have been cool too. I already have tickets for both acts so I will be seeing them either way.
