I've just contacted the Coliseum and they just spoke with the Promoter and they're not hearing anything about Slayer cancelling.

O God so sorry about that Tim ....... I`ll always post where I get the info from for now on ......I was disappointed @ the time I read it myself !!!

No problem dude. There are still 3 other bands involved so we can only hope its not 100% cancelled.

Here is the best scenario than can happen for the fans IMO:

Concert goes on as scheduled, only difference is Megadeth play their FULL set + Slayer returns when Araya is better and plays a FULL set make up date.

Don't get me wrong, I've been listening to Megadeth since Killing is my Business however, Mustain is all that remains and I was going more so to see Slayer as most everybody else I know.

Tim, if/when you hear from promoter as to course of action, could you please let us know ASAP. Thanks!

So what is going to happen is megadeth just going to play? Are they going to wait and push the date back?

when Slayer cancelled in australia Megadeth played a full set, I said it before and i will say it again, dont care for Slayer, would have been cool to see them but i would rather get close to 2 hrs of Megadeth over 1 hour.

CANADIAN CARNAGE FEATURING MEGADETH & SLAYER

TOUR POSTPONED DUE TO ILLNESS

GEG working on rescheduling dates

Montreal - Monday, November 2, 2009 -- It is with great regret that the Gillett Entertainment group announced today that due to an illness of Slayer s Tom Araya, the Canadian Carnage Tour featuring Megadeth & Slayer with special guests Machine Head and Suicide Silence had to be postponed. The tour was due to begin in Moncton on November 8.

The Gillett Entertainment Group is asking fans to hold on to their tickets as they are working on rescheduling both the Moncton and Halifax concerts.

Slayer's Tom Araya is currently under the care of a specialist for a back injury, thought to be related to his on-stage activity, and the physician has ordered an immediate surgical procedure to take place in Texas tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

"What is foremost in our minds right now is that Tom do whatever he needs to to get this taken care of," said Slayer's Kerry King. "While all four of us are disappointed that we won't be able to see through all of our commitments set for the next few weeks, the most important thing is Tom's health. We thank the fans in Canada, says the Megadeth camp. We look forward to seeing you all soon."

Wow..you don't pay attention to this board and things happen so fast...I was wondering if Superstore would still sell tickets on the day of the concert and I was going to pick one up on the way to Halifax somewhere...and this happens..as like Lab and Kissno1 said I wasn't overly thrilled to see Slayer either and I'm more into Megadeth and like Machine Head but still this would have been the chance to see Slayer and I was ready ...ok now what?? I'm predicting a spring tour somehow with this...in th meantime its Stone Temple Pilots and of course GNR!! :D
