SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo has told Classic Rock magazine that the band's upcoming U.K. tour is definitely happening.

There have been fears that, following bassist/vocalist Tom Araya's recent back operation, these dates might have to be cancelled.

Says Lombardo: "We did have to put out of a Canadian tour with MEGADETH because of Tom's situation. But, as far as I'm aware, the British shows will go ahead. Of course, Tom's health must take priority. However, he's making good progress, so we'll see everyone soon

Nice find!
I'm holding on to my tickets, don't need a refund. This will be a great uplift in the middle of the long cold winter. Something to look forward to.

Wow, the only way I was able to find that was to navigate back to the original press release on their website.

There's still nothing on any other site. Weird?

I hope that's true though. Ijust think it should be advertised a little more.

The dates were probably just recently decided upon and GEG may just be starting to get the new info out there.

Machine head will be in Europe in February. Suicide Silence doesn't have any dates line up for 2010.

I'll take Testament over the other two anyday, been a long time since I've seen them.

That's awesome! A little bummed that Machine Head won't be on the bill but Testament more than makes up for it. The rumours were true afterall.
