| Kiss couldnt attract a big enough crowd to justify playing the commons, or magnetic, contratrary to populer belief, Kiss is not an act that people would travel a distance to go see.

| KISS, like Aerosmith may not be the same draw that they once were in bigger cities that they have played numerous times in the past but it's different around here. There is such a hunger for live music around here that many people often go to these big outdoor shows even if they are not a fan because they want to be part of the big party. They want to be able to say, "Yeah, I was there when "XXXX" played the Hill/Commons". I mean how many people do you know who went to see the Stones who weren't fans but went primarily for the sheer novelty of it. I'm not a big fan of the Eagles but I would go anywhere within the Maritimes to see them for the very same reason. And with KISS, I'm not much of a fan anymore (I find them to be quite cheesy, especially Paul) but I would travel quite a distance to see them as well. Regardless of what you think of their music, you know that they will put on a helluva show especially if they wear their make-up.

| Hate to say it but i'm also undecided on going to see the eagles..and elton..i saw clips of elton on you tube and it kind of looks boring..not wild like he was back in the 70's..anyway maybe thats not the case..like i said im undecided over those two shows..i might actually end up going yet..it depends ..if lets just say..that in may iron maiden would include a maritime city in its tour..then that 10 day gap in rush's schedule includes maritime cities..then i would jump right on tickets for those bands...and probably not bother with the eagles or elton...however if no rock act announces tours and its just the eagles and elton..then i would do just like john has already said...just go...just to say ..'hey i was there'..i can only imagine what ticket prices will be for the eagles and elton..if they come

*cough*Bullshit*cough* You're a riot! So you'll pay double/triple the cost of what you would normally pay to see a certain opener, i.e. The Hip, Alice Cooper, etc...
Also, I don't go to shows where I don't like the acts but I will go to a show, like I said, even if I'm not a huge fan maybe more out of curiosity than anything. I still have to enjoy the music in order to shell out $100+/ticket. It's not like I've gone to any of the country shows here in Moncton.

| I'm pretty much in the same boat, i won't go see a band just so i can say i was there/seen them. As i said, i'm not that big of a Kiss fan, and i feel kind of the same about them as John...but i'd still go to see them just because i know they'd put on a terrific live show & i'd be worth it. Same with Elton John, i certainly wouldn't call myself an Elton John fan, but i've seen him live on television enough and have heard enough about his live shows that i know he'd be a great artist to see in concert.

yes i would pay double or triple the cost to see a band if they were one of my favorite bands like the hip or alice cooper if they were opening but i also went to see the stones i like the stones im not as big of a fan as you are and i would go see them again even if they had no good openers but i dont like the eagles enough to shell out the kind of money they are going to be charging unless there some really good openers

We will see, don't count KISS out. It is not everybody's cup of tea, but they would do very well here in my opinion.

Huh! That's funny, because I traveled from Moncton to Montreal to see Kiss the last time they played there. And I would do the same today.
I won't be traveling to PEI or Halifax to see Elton John play outside. I would however, pay money to see him play the Moncton Coliseum though. I'm not a fan of Elton, so I wouldn't travel out of town to see his show because of traveling expenses makes it too expensive. But I would drop $100 to see him across town performing indoors.

Lol, sorry but if Elton John comes, he isn't going to be playing that puny dink of an arena. He would be playing the Commons or Mag Hill.
And personally, I prefer large outdoor shows over arena shows anyway.

| If I'm not mistaken Elton is playing an arena in Sudbury that happens to be smaller than the Coliseum. He seems to be adding shows in markets where he hasn't played before.
