The Hip did play the FOL yes, in 2006 with Sam Roberts, Matt Mays & El Torpedo, Three Days Grace, Theory of a Deadman and Hedley.

My personal favorite year was in 2003, night 1 was Jimmy Rankin & Kim Mitchell, night 2 was David Usher & Blue Rodeo, and night 3 was Default & Nickelback. 2004 was great too with Live, April Wine, The Trews, etc.
The only year since '02 that i didn't go was 2005, which was headlined by Three Doors Down & Lifehouse.

I wont be making it to this event. but, I hope it's atleast a few good bands.

Dying to see who is playing this show. They have put together some really awesome shows. Cant' wait to hear.

Thats half the excitement, some years are great, others are crap. If it is great I get to go, if it is crap I can complain for an extended periord of time for a city other than Halifax.

They had a strech for a few years that had really good line ups. I have passed the last two years, and am hoping that this is the year of something really good. They can't afford to have a line up of Hedley and Simple Plan because it just won't stack up with all the other options. This will be probably be one of the better line ups ev erfor FOL. I could be wrong though.

I've put calls and emails out to everyone I know who might know something and as soon as I hear from them I'll post something.

I know our sister stations, K-ROCK/Ocean100 on the Island are presenting the shows and I've got an email to the GM on the Island.

The official lineupes are going to be revealed at 8am on Friday and both Ocean 100 & KRock 105.5. I'm quoting Kim Green here, "get ready for 3 full nights of wicked concerts".

The information sure is tight on this one. Does anyone have an idea of what bands are playing or "rumoured" to be playing this year. I've seen Black Crowes but I don't think they have openings in their schedule that weekend. As the hours slowly pass by, I'm getting more and more curious.

I am pretty sure it will be Rita McNeil, K.D. Lang & Roch Voisine & Corey Hart is heavily rumoured as well. Should be a rockin show!!
