I just read that George Thorogood is playing in Summerside on June 5th, haven't searched around yet to get the other days. Tickets apparently are in the $35 range.
I've never seen Thorogood, but have always wanted to. I was hoping the George Thorogood/Bryan Adams tour would of came this way last year, would of been great...but i can live with this ...especially considered BA will be coming this way shortly as well.

George Thorogood, Destroyers booked for June
Lori A. Mayne
The Journal Pioneer
Get ready to be "Bad to the Bone".
George Thorogood and the Destroyers will play Summerside Thursday, June 5.
"It's great to get him," said Summerside community services director Bill Schurman. "We're excited."
This marks the second classic rock act announced for the Summerside Wellness Centre in just over a week. Loverboy is scheduled to play Aug. 6.
George Thorogood and the Destroyers emerged from Delaware in the 1970s and have captured audiences with hits like "Bad to the Bone", "Move it on Over," and "Who do you Love."
Schurman said the main act would likely start around 8 p.m. with the opener (yet to be confirmed) around 7 p.m.
He looks forward to hosting the concert - and then a circus the next day.
"It's going to really test the building."
The wellness centre will put on the George Thorogood and the Destroyers concert in conjunction with the group's promoter.
Tickets go on sale March 17. The George Thorogood concert costs $37.50 plus taxes/ticketing fees. Loverboy concertgoers will pay $27.50 plus taxes/ticketing fees. There will be a limited number of tickets sold for the floor area, in addition to bowl arena seating.
Schurman said the city would also like to host a gospel concert and a concert appealing to teens and twenty-somethings this summer.
"Things are booking up," he said. "If we can get one or two sort of main acts ... each month, I think we'll be smiling - for a while anyway."

| I'd have to assume he'll include stops in Moncton, Halifax, etc. I checked his website yesterday & there was nothing on it yet about the Maritimes.

He's playing in Quebec City on 6/3 and Verona, NY 6/9 so I guess he can fill some time in. I saw him last time at the HMC. Great show and a good time for a skybox "all inclusive" show.
He'd be a good fit for the Cunard for sure.

*Sigh* No disrespect to those that are excited about this, but to me, it is not big news. In fact, its just run of the mill.
anxiously awaiting some actual big news.
