|
|
They just announced on the radio that there is an impending tour announcement today for Zeppelin!!!! I thought I heard something about it taking place in Japan. It's still early so maybe I'm hearing things. I'm still trying to pick my jaw up off the ground. There is no way in hell that I would miss this. Time to get the Led out!!
P.S. I noticed this article yesterday with Robert Plant saying you never know what is around the corner in response to tour rumours.

And it would appear that The Cult may be the opener.
I see no reason why this concert tour can not start at Magnetic Hill on Labour Day weekend. I can only dream!
100,000 + tickets sold in 2 days.
Moncton is back on the map folks.

This article was published in December after the Zeppelin gig.

Wonder if Alan Cochrane still has Jason Bonham phone number. Maybe he can convince him & the band to start the tour in Moncton on Labor Day weekend.

| I don't know how much stock I would put into that. They've been saying different things to the media at various times. Who knows what will actually happen?

Its BS----Robert Plant wants to do a select # of shows but only after his committment with Allison Kraus is done....it will happen in the fall of 2008.
Robert Plant doesn't need $ so he doesn't give a rats ass what anyone thinks.....a tour or a select few shows will happen in his terms and no one elses.

| Rumours are flying again about Led Zeppelin at the Rogers Centre (i.e. SkyDome). Scotty Mars mentioned it tonight on Q104, but I didn't hear the whole story...

IMO only - I think it would be wrong for them to consider a massive tour again....special "one-off" gigs like O2 seem more likely....and more special....perhaps we will see single shows in Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo......5-7 shows tops all within a 2 month span in 2009.
...that my prediction....
anyone hoping for a 70 city North America tour is in fantasy land. Robert Plant just ain't into staying at the Holiday Inn in Fargo, North Dakota anymore.

| I would be open to seeing Zeppelin in Toronto or New York if and when it ever happens. I've been saving up my Air Miles for an occasion like that - either Zeppelin or AC/DC

You must have lots of grocerys from Sobeys lol...hmmm maybe I should check my own air miles...you have a good point..wish Superstore would have air miles also..I'd love to see Led Zeppelin.....damn if they would only come this way...or Van Halen..mannn they were everywhere since they started that tour last year except for in this region....John..you might want to reconsider that...since AC/DC is about to release a new album sometime this year..and no doubt a tour would follow...I'd use my air miles to catch them in Toronto or Montreal...then again it would be a hard decision between Zeppelin and AC/DC...but in the end I would choose AC/DC hands down...also there is this Backstreet Boys tour coming to Halifax and Moncton lmao...I'm kidding!!!!
