I haven't picked up a lot of new music lately, the 3 most recent though have been...

Pearl Jam- ten (the new re-release)
The Tragically Hip- we are the same
Serena Ryder- is it ok?

I've been listening to "ashtray rock" the last couple days in the car, so i think i'm going to have to finally pick up Joel Plaskett's new album this weekend.

I recently bought,

ZZ Top Live in Texas Dvd.

Great disc and the louder you play it, the better it is. Walmart has it for around $12.

If you don't have it, get James Gang Live at the Filmore. Joe is a master of the tape echo and totally shows it off.

Collective Soul- rabbit
John Fogerty- blue ridge rangers
Third Eye Blind

I picked up the new Third Eye Blind last weekend, and then got both the new Collective Soul & John Fogerty cd's this afternoon. The Fogerty is about what i expected, it's a country album and honestly most of the tracks don't really do much for me, but there are a few tracks i really like..."change in the weather" (which he played in Moncton) & the song with Bruce Springsteen among them. John is already working on his next album, which will be his usual rock offering and is supposed to include a new version of "coming down the road".

I love the new Collective Soul, very strong effort by them. I'm especially digging the track "dig" :D

This has been a very good late summer so far for new albums, and there's still lots to come this fall, in particular i'm really looking forward to the new Pearl Jam & the new John Mellencamp set...new STP is supposed to be in the works...greatest hits packages from both the Foo Fighters & Stereophonics, etc.

I just picked it up on my lunch break and 3/4 through the 1st listen...I already like it. The material is solid and it sounds like the AIC of old. Pleased with my purchase.
