My friend just called, a co-worker has offered him 2 lower bowl tickets for the Oct 31st show in Quebec City...at face value!!! I have untill tomorrow to the decide. I feel like this is an opportunity we can't pass-up but at the same time, the orgy of concerts blowing through at that time has left a big hole in my wallet!!!! He's coming over tonight and we will brainstorm and decide if we can do this!!

Whats to brainstorm to? :P Getting Metallica tickets at face value in the Province of Quebec is nearly impossible!

I went for Night 1 in Montreal. Couldn't talk or hear properly for 3 days. It was insane!!! The crowd here is really into them, and Metallica loves playing here. Same thing for Quebec city.

You and your friend just look at that video, it's all it's gonna take :P

First Time playing Shortest Straw since 1997

I know heh, the Quebecois love their metal!! Seems like they let loose(in a good way) alot more than Maritime crowds. I beleive the last show I saw at the Colisee was either Maiden's Fear of The Dark or Metallica's Black Album tour. Anytime after that was either The Agora or Centre de Foire in QC or Forum/BellCenter in Montreal.

Not going...not enough funds/too many concerts...truck needs fixing and bathroom gets remodeled that week as per the queen's request. Tickets were not face value either, he paid 150$/each and they are on kijiji Moncton right now if anybody wants them.

Official Metallica.com footage from METALLICA's October 31, 2009 concert Colisée Pepsi in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada can be viewed below.

METALLICA has set November 23 as the release date for "Francais Por Une Nuit", or "French For One Night", the full-length concert DVD that the band filmed in Nimes, France on July 7, 2009. The show took place at a historic Roman amphitheatre called the Arenes de Nimes. In addition to the band's complete 18-song set, the disc also includes interviews with the group and five video clips shot by members of the audience. Although initially announced as a France-only release, fan demand has led to Metallica also making the set available through their web site, Metallica.com, as well as the site of the French branch of the band's record company.

A statement posted on the band's web site said, "ALL aspects of the project are French as the show was filmed, recorded, and edited with French camera and recording crews, the artwork on the package and special box set (more on that in a minute!) were created by a French design team; even the credits are in French."

The DVD will come in three formats: standard DVD or Blu-ray in a digipack including a 16-page booklet, and a deluxe limited edition box set that includes the DVD, a copy of "Death Magnetic" on CD, a T-shirt, laminated pass, and five exclusive photos.

Sorry to ruin your fun Lab! To be honest, I kind of already knew about it because Lars mentioned at the end of the show that they were filming for their next DVD. I'm curious to see how they're going to set it up where they filmed three shows...it will probably be certain songs grabbed from each of the shows. Can't wait until it comes out.

The clip below is kind of funny. It's from one of their Meet and Greets at the QC show and contains one fan from Moncton talking with Lars about Moncton and the Stones show.

I love how we never stop plugging our region! No doubt they remember when fans say 85k people. The accountant in their mind goes 85K x $100 = $8,500,000 Note to rock God self have minions check out Moncton!

I saw that footage too. I wonder if she mentioned AC/DC too. 70k ain't too shabby either. No reason why couldn't come back and play Halifax at least. Decent chance of getting the stage in that building at least. As for outside, either one would work with Halifax having the advantage for the quickest exit.

I used to agree that Halifax was probably our best chance at an indoor show but after seeing the stage I'm not so sure it would fit now. I think they need an NHL sized rink surface in order to have enough space between the stage and the side boards. They don't seem to play venues smaller than NHL arenas on their regular tour dates.
