ZZ TOP a possibility?

Postby 80sRocker on Tue Nov 03, 2009 5:26 pm

Only a forecast, but ZZTOP is playing Western Canada in the winter.
They are doing 5 dates in British Columbia. Maybe a chance to see them out east?

I'd go, why not! Bring em! The closest thing I ever seen to ZZ Top was a tribute band back in the old Centrum days here in Moncton. Tres Hombres I think. I got a signed 8x10 of these guys back home. I'll need to dig this up later.

I was at that show. I remember Collective Soul commenting onstage about the rampant nudity that was taking place at Woodstock '99 - which they were flying out to after the show. I seem to remember a fair amount of nudity at this show as well. You can usually count on Maritimers for nudity at shows.

My friend was the sound man for Tres Hombres. I saw them several times in Toronto. For a while they had two drummers. One was the original drummer for Max Webster. Thanks for the memory jog!!!! Check out the " ZZ Top Live in Texas " dvd. Excellent!!!!!!!
