| so Uptown Farms is searching for someone bigger than Petty. that leads me to speculate that he will be with the Eagles and that Rush and the Black Crowes will be headlining separate nights at the festival of lights. but thats purely speculation on my point. be a lot cheaper if Petty was with the Eagles since i already have tickets to that but i would rather see him alone like most of you.

| It would be cheaper seeing as in I live in Moncton.. but Id PAY and Go to see him on PEI even if it was just him.

Rush is booked in the usa midwest at the time of the festival of lights...the window for Rush to swing this way seems to fall between june 15th and june 25th

Well..look at that recent interview with Geddy Lee..he admitted that the group was having a tough time to get a date in Halifax..but it wouldn't suprise me if another maritime date or two were added...if anyone remembers at the beginning of this year...Rush's inital list had included both Saint John ..plus Halifax..

Even if Tom Petty did come this summer I doubt it would be as Tom Petty... he is releasing a CD the end of this month with a band he was with before he got big; MudCrutch... so I would assume any Tom Petty touring this summer would actually be MudCrutch promoting.

i would doubt that simply because the previous poster mentioned he was touring all summer with the heartbreakers.
and also, he wouldnt be going out under his former band anyway, he would never attract a large enough crowd to hear songs no ones cares about.
What would be more likely to happen is that he brings his former bandmates up on stage during the tour and they do 4 or 5 songs. I know of a couple of bands that do that, and sammy hager is one of them and not with michael anthony.

Yeah after thinking about it that does make a lot more sense, he knows he can sell the tickets as Tom Petty and then he has a chance to introduce the crowd to MudCrutch.

| The Mudcrutch thing is a one off. He's already played a few shows to promote that venture. The cd is coming out next week but the summer tour is Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

| Based on Tim's history thus far with the advisory board, I would say there were some serious rumblings to earn severe status. He was right on the money with Kravitz so I'm assuming it's out there. Where it is or how definite is the other question. I'll lose my mind if Petty comes here, wanted to see him in Boston this summer but no go.
