| Suffice to say, I wouldn't bet against a Springsteen show in the Maritimes this summer.

| Looks like the Carver PEI show is a no go...can't say i'm surprised. He said he'll know look at bringing his "big name" act that is only available on a certain August weekend elsewhere in the Maritimes.

| I don't know what to make of it all...other that what I already said...Tom Petty's tour swings closest to the maritimes during June..but there aren't huge gaps in his tour at that time to fit a few maritime cities in...and since Tom Petty's in the severe area on that concert list..a june date around here somewhere wouldn't suprise me...but he would be good for an outdoor gig somewhere...it will attract by far more ppl

For potatoes lol....i'm sorry I just had to do that...I have no idea whats at this place..I've been to PEI..but never Upton farms..for all I know there could be a huge area set up there for concerts..sooo whats the story now with Carver out of PEI?? Will there still be a huge concert staged there outside of the F.O.L.? and in a way it makes sense what the PEI gov't is saying...old home week there is popular and every accomadation would be filled to the brim..and I'm sure PEI just like any other area in the maritimes would like to see those rooms filled during offseason..but look at what happened in Halifax during the Stones concert...with all that rain...it be great as long as they didn't let it go too far into the fall

Upton Farms was built newly..

FOL is on the waterfront in June.
Blast at the beach is.. Well.. Blast at the beach.
Now.. What is David Carver in charge of? What is he not planning anymore?

He is the guy that put on both the Black Eyed Peas & Aerosmith concerts the last two summers (Blast at the Beach). He was wanting to hold another concert here on PEI this summer, in either Charlottetown or Summerside. According to him, the band that he wanted to bring (and who's been trying to get for 18 years) is only available on one date this summer, and it's the same weekend as Old Home week, which is around the first weeekend in August i believe. So apparently he's given up on PEI.
The potential concert at Uptown Farms isn't David Carver related, so hopefully it still happens. It's supposed to be Labour Day weekend.

Apparently he is still planning according to that news article...it looks like its going to be off of PEI though...I have no idea as to where or what may lie in his thoughts...just for the record David Carver is a concert promoter...but I'm sure you already knew that

| Honestly, it could be either Petty or Springsteen. Tom finishes his current tour in Texas on the 29th I believe. Bruce finishes his tour in late July but is playing a show in Wisconsin August 30th. It's possible but unlikely. We shall see. Petty is on the severe list so there's something on the horizon. The show could possibly be in Halifax. Who really knows at this point.

Labour day weekend?? isn't that the same weekend Elton John is touring through the area...or supposed to..I heard from a couple of ppl that he will be in Halifax on Sept 2nd..but thats all it is is rumors...also..isn't Elton John just doing indoor gigs with no backup band..just him and his piano?
