It's been a while since Leppard has been down this way. They've done some cool headline tours in the US with Styx, REO and Journey. That would be a good draw up this way. They came through the Maritimes every couple of years since the late 90's but I don't think they've been through since 04?? I heard they didn't sell that well the last time through which is too bad cause they are a great band. I think the newer material at that time wasn't too strong either. Has anybody heard the new album that came out today? It's actually pretty good. A buddy of mine is huge into them and when he was raving about it I kind of dismissed him but I took a listen and I like it a lot actually.

They're touring the UK as a double bill with Whitesnake this summer. That would be a sweet show! And by the way, if you haven't heard the new Whitesnake cd, check it out. It's really good and Future Shop has a great deal on the limited edition with a bonus live cd for $14.

There was some talk a few weeks ago that Def Leppard could be part of a show at Upton Farm in Charlottetown.

The Leps are my all time fav band from the 80's. Very Happy

And if anyone hasn't seen Phill Collen recently, it's worth looking for a pic - he's keeping himself in tip-top shape Wink

In fact, they were on Ellen today, Dancing with the Stars tonight (yes, you read that right!!) and Jimmy Kimmel tomorrow. Sad to admit, I didn't get a chance to pick up their CD today, but I've heard clips of most of the songs - couple of them a little cheesy, but overall pretty good!

And yes, it's been waaayyyy too long. They've passed us by the last four tours Sad

Anyone else think Leppard lip-synched last night on Dancing with the Stars. Liked the new single but I think the boys were mouthing the words.

Oh they definitely lip synched the first song. Not sure about the second, some of it might've been live...the guitars and vocal maybe. They played on another tv show this week (Ellen I think) and they played Hysteria live.

Ya, I was thinking the same thing for Sugar - it sounded 'too' good! Joe hasn't sounded that good in many years and they just cancelled a bunch of shows because he had a respiratory infection.

The Ellen show was definitely live but I still swear DWTS was completely lip-synched. At least PSSOM was.

They played on the Jimmy Kimmel show last night outside in the parking lot concert area. Looked real to me...no apparent lip singing!
