As you can see that 10 day gap happens on june 15th right after the Boston show...anyone have any thoughts or info as to if the maritime dates will be included in that gap as time goes on....also cut was portland Maine....Rush is a band website has this explanation as to what happened to the atlantic canada dates....>>>> 4) What happened to Atlantic Canada?

I know that no answer will satiate you Atlantic Canadians - and I don't blame you. But I'll give it a shot anyways. Once again, the abrupt change in plans mentioned above in 2) caused the band to completely rethink their routing. The short answer is that Atlantic Canada just did not work out with the modified schedule. Once it was apparent the South American dates would not happen in May, they had to scramble to shore up the Eastern US venues before other artists/events did. The Maine show was knocked out, then Rhode Island and from that point it just came down to logistics and cost of travel in between shows; Atlantic Canada just didn't fit in unfortunately. They instead found that a Montreal show would fit in, and went for that instead.

Exactly! I am tired of bands skipping the maritimes. Enough bull, if Motley Crue, Gun's N Roses & Ozzy can play here, there is no excuse.

>>>>>> I couldn't agree with you more..the last several months from Sept i believe... even before the current Ozzy show was announced we were teased with Rush coming...first it looked like March..then April then May then the maritimes just get cut out altogether..maybe im wrong...but im thinking that 10 day gap from june 15th to june 25th could possibly fit maritime dates in...but who knows...we all been through this before haven't we...its been 20 years since i saw Rush and a petitition had to be done back then in 1987 to get them to play Sydney and Halifax...with all the recent concerts here and the large number of tickets sold...you would think that we would be still included right to the end

They haven't come here for ages. If they don't want to come, I'm certainly not going to drive 10 hours to go see them.

I'll spend my money on some other bands CD's and tickets...

I wouldn't be surprised if they re-added the maritime shows a month or so before the show dates. I don't know if I am the only one who notices this or not but maritime shows always seem to be announced last minute... I think this is either because we are added on last minute or because our local promotors have a business model of announcing things last minute because they think this is the only way to sell tickets. Either way it is kind of annoying to have to plan to go to concerts last minute.

I agree with you 100%, they wait way to long to announce maritime dates. We should have our dates given out at the same time as everybody else. Our local promoters definately need a reality check.

On another note, if they do know ahead of time and simply decide to wait until last minute to make the announcement of maritime shows, I wonder how many ticket sales they miss out on by us maritimers getting frustrated and buying tickets for shows in other cities. I know I have personally bought tickets to shows in other cities only to have them end up announcing local shows last minute.

There is nothing wrong with seeing a band twice but it is quite alot of money to throw away for travelling expenses. Road trips are a blast but it must be awful disappointing to travel somewhere only to find out the concert is cancelled.
