Paul McCartney would be insane! Seeing as Fogerty will soon be checked off my list, McCartney is tied with AC/DC as the act i have to see live!

wow indeed Paul Mcartney is definitly a good catch for the concert on the commons....I was holding out for Van Halen...I might go see this...it depends I guess on when exactly it is during the summer...mine can get quite busy sometimes..which is the reason I missed Aerosmith on PEI last year

I certainly haven't heard anything about McCartney coming to Halifax. Not saying it's not true but you'd think there would be some kind of buzz.

I am getting frustrated by the lack of big name hard rock acts .....gimme AC/DC.........gRRRRRR....

I mean really...c'mon.....I want PYRO!!! and LOUD MUSIC....

I WANNA FUKKING ROCK!!!

I do not want to hear Yesterday....(unless it is by the original Gunners)

I hear yeah dude! we need some real rock concerts. I am hoping it will happen on the Commons.

Has there really been anyone else. No, not really. Could it have been the Eagles? Not after Sir Paul became a possibility. The talk of Halifax trying to steal the show was much overrated and overstated. Though they did bid.

Who won't it be. Bruce. Acdc. U2. Pearl Jam. Petty (though he has been looking for a nice maritime place to play)

How far along is the bid? Pretty far. It's in that area where mr gunner gets antsy and can't understand why things sometimes don't happen. A deal in principle has been made. That means, Halifax wants him. He wants to play (or someone has agreed he will play). Someone now has to commit to dollars. That's where it falls apart on most occasions.

Halifax: We want him.We want him...We want him...We can't afford him..
Promoter: You can have him..you can have him..but you gotta pay him...
Halifax: We need to have a council session for this...
Promoter: We need to announce dates....
Halifax : We need time
Promoter: You are out of time.

Someone told me that Events Halifax has taken this council part out of the equation. So. Might actually happen this time.
