Still way on the face on if I'd attend or not, but Fogerty's setlist looks pretty good, so I think he'd definitely be fun to check out. Realistically, when I went to see the Stones, I had never been a big fan, but it was a blast in terms of the quantity of songs that I ended up knowing and the crowd enjoying. So, while I may not love the lineup, I can tell it will be blast.

Hi,
Anyone have the scoop with what is included with the VIP grandstand seating for the Eagles show? Price is a little on the high side but this will depend on whats all in the deal. Going to be a awesome show no matter where you are located.

They say on the radio to buy your tickets asap coz they will sell out as fast as the Stones but in reality the Stones were never sold out coz they added more tickets afterwards. Just wondering if anyone knows the limit sold for the Eagles. It's kinda of a dilemma for me since I can only buy my tickets on the 12th instead of the 11th. I hope it's not sold out!! Confused

To be honest there is no max tickets sold.... They will release 40k, then 10k more and 10k more and 10k more until people stop buying them and then they will release 10k more and complain that they haven't sold enough tickets, then after the show it will be a huge success.. The stones if you remember there was hillbillies trying to sell 2 dollar hot dogs and 40 dollar stones tickets (originally paid 110) from their front lawn, so they were taking a huge loss. If you think they will sell out ever (let alone in 24 hours) you are wrong, all they need to do is move the fence back 20 more feet and they have enough room for 5k more.

Anyone have any thoughts if the Eagles will be bigger than the stones, because I have a hard time believing that. Close but not as many people.

It will probably be as big as the Tim McGraw/Faith Hill concert and I think they sold 40k.....

The Stones were special....the only bands that can come close to that again are bands like AC/DC, U2, Led Zepplin. Bruce Springsteen - even today- is having a hard time filling arenas and outdoor venue (for his summer tour in Europe)

Im going to say it'll be bigger than Tim & Faith but not quite to the Stones size of crowd.

Im sure John Fogerty will help sell some extra tickets, so Im going to take a stab and say it'll sell around 60,000

Interesting article...if not a bit off base....

I understand what he is trying to say....but consider this...

Moncton has it right.....the site, infrastructure, attitude....

The Magnetic Hill site is meant for MAJOR acts.........I have no doubt that U2 or AC/DC will someday rock that hill.........

I just hope the new Mayor of Moncton is as open minded as the current one.

Whats your sources for that? That would certainly improve the lineup.

NEVER take radio stations rumours seriously until they are officially announced by an official source. You had originally put that you had heard on good authority that Mellencamp was being added. Well, radio stations are not that, including this one. Sorry Tim.

I can't see Mellencamp with The Eagles. That's 2 major headliners, and there's no way you could see that for a hundred bucks.

But...according to Harold McKay, he's saying that they're looking at July for a concert on Halifax Common, and could announce something in a couple of weeks. Mellencamp could be a headliner there, for sure. No Mellencamp tour dates have been announced yet for the summer, so maybe...

Was it 1994 that Mellencamp was announced for Magnetic Hill? Blue Rodeo, Moist, and a couple of other bands were on the bill, as well. They pulled the plug after slow ticket sales.

I liked this from the Times-Transcript article...

"When I talked to people standing in line for Ozzy Osbourne tickets, names like AC/DC, Metallica, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, U2 and others kept rising to the top of the concert wish list."

Well, duh. You didn't think Ozzy fans would be hoping for Celine Dion, would ya?
