I concur that what she said was a litte code-ish, but she did say that he wasn't coming, not that he was.
It would be nice if he was though I think.
Edit---I presumed you were talking about Tom Petty?? Anyone hear a rumour about him and the Festival of Lights?

I'm not sure how saying someone is slated to come...and others aren't coming...is codeish!? Pretty cut and dry..if I do say so myself.
Nice to see my buddy Gunner has mellowed a little bit. But I understand. He just wants something to happen. I'm sure you all do.
And there was no mention of Petty actually coming..his promoters were looking...That's all.

| Can't see Tom Petty playing the FOL no, the Uptown Farms concert maybe, but not the Festival of Lights. I'll take a stab at guessing the FOL headliner, i'll go with Daughtry and/or Our Lady Peace.

| Hey confirmer...any word on Van Halen on the commons?? I remember a few months ago before the band rescheduled some of their dates...that this concert was heavily rumoured to be playing at the Halifax commons..or was it the Metro centre for 2 possible dates...one other thing is the failed Kiss gig that was supposed to happen last September on the commons....but rumoured to be rescheduled..and one more...what about THe Who that bottomed out last year..was there any more to this...I mean to try to do it again and bring them to Halifax??

Dalemxx, don't take this the wrong way but you might need to take an Ativan or Valium. All of these unanswered concert questions are going to make you go loco or at least give you an ulcer.

I get ragged on for being to code-ish. Is that even a word?
So..No. No Van Halen on the common.s No Kiss on the Commons. No Who on the commons.
They are single minded at this point about the artist they want.
I did hear today though that they will avoid having any shows on the commons in late September and beyond (like the Stones)..so bank on a show being in mid-late July..if it happens.
