I hope you're right, that would be awesome!! There were lots of rumors a month or so ago that PEI were trying to get Van Halen, so it definitely looks like they are one of the bands in the mix.
VH at Halifax Common would be awesome!!

August or September is what I am hearing a source at the Metro Centre is not sure if it is a commons show or a multiple night at the Metro Centre.
Im hoping its true even though I saw them in Toronto in October.
I will be going again for sure.

i saw van halen in boston in october, it was good, and hopefully outside will make for better sound, in the garden the sound was not the greatest. Still a great show

So far, my buddy who works all the big shows, has only been put on notice for Aug 30. I haven't verified, but that's the Keith Urban date, correct?

He said he'll let me know as soon as he hears another date come up. As usual, he often doesn't know the artists, just that there's a show coming.

Well if someone has been put on notice for Aug. 30 that would be the urban show. Doesn't make much sense in booking a big outdoor show with another one on the same night.
That said, VH would be a dream.

Not surprised at all...it's too bad though, of all the rumored Maritimes shows....The Eagles, Elton John, Kiss, Bon Jovi, etc...Van Halen was the one i wanted to see the most.
